Jim Barry is the Managing Director of Barry Group. Under Jim’s leadership and vision, Barry Group aims to provide customer focused, high quality and profitable solutions to our symbol and retail partners. Amongst Jim’s accolades, he has been awarded Most Trusted Leader at the Great Place to Work Awards in 2015 and most recently, Jim was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Ireland’s Forecourt & Convenience Awards.

Barry Group Story & Vision
Founded from humble beginnings in 1955 by James A. Barry, Barry Group has grown from a once local business to a leading wholesale distribution company.
Today, it operates from a state of the art headquarters in Mallow, Cork where over 250 people are employed. Trading both nationally and internationally to service its network of over 1,500 customers; Barry Group supplies its franchise customer base comprised of Costcutter, Carry Out Off Licence and Quik Pick retail groups, as well as a large number of independent retailers and wholesalers based in Ireland and abroad.
Proud supporters of family business, the Group find themselves in a unique position where they can aid small family businesses in the retail trade to grow and prosper through the support and guidance from their accomplished team.
